Meet the Flock

The 71st Air Combat Wing was an aerial assault battle group serving under the Grand Republic 9th Fleet. They provided protection and aerial support for convoys and other battalions across the galaxy. Their flagship, The Roost, was an Acclamator-1 assault ship that was armed to the teeth. They specialized in dogfighting and aerial combat. A bit of a glass-cannon approach, but it worked just fine for them.General Imayne Horne and Commander Tremor led the 71st during the Clone Wars. Their group sported 72 warships and 6 squadrons. They also employed 6 BD-unit teams aboard the Roost. They favored these droids over astromechs for their speed and maneuverability; they provide to be lifesavers for the 71st fighter pilots.Their mascot was the mykal, a flying predator from Kashyyyk. While petitions were made to keep one as a pet, it was never approved. So, they invested in a ridiculous number of BD-units instead. Their battle group color was a faded purple. After the Fall of the Republic, the 71st was absorbed into the Imperial Navy. Most of the clone troopers and pilots were dismissed in favor of conscripted forces, and the Roost was decommissioned on Bracca. Several notable officers, including Commander Tremor, went missing shortly after...

Imayne's missing person's report

Notable Ocs

I could probably make up characters for the 71st until the sun burns out, but in the meantime, here's the more notable ones

General Imayne Horne Terrelian Jango Jumper, Jedi Knight She was one of the many padawans made a jedi too early. The demand for generals outweighed her need for training. Her skill as a pilot landed her with the 71st Air Combat Wing. While she's... content with doing her part, she just wasn't made for war. Flying was one of her passions, which led her to befriend Corot very quickly. However, she finds it hard to get in the cockpit, knowing that war is constantly in her slipstream.Commander Tremor (CC-4729) Human clone Tremor has lots of energy and often speaks rather loudly. His brothers say his voice makes their helmets shake. He's very passionate about his job and does his best to take care of his brothers. Can definitely be intense, even unpredictable at times. He keeps an eye on Imayne, but he kinda wishes they had a different jedi. Not that she's bad or anything, but he knows that she doesn't have the heart for war. Would still stab a bitch for her, 100%
He thinks Corot is a nerd but doesn't mind, especially because he gets along so well with Imayne. He's more interested in Core World sports and dance
Corot (CT-8953) Human clone, pilot Corot served as a pilot in the Kestral Squad of the 71st Air Combat Wing. He was a bit spacey, in more ways that one. His brothers often found him staring out The Roost’s viewports, his mind lost to the stars. He loved studying astronomy as much as he loved flying. He decorated his armor wit his favorite constellations and allegedly did the same to his fighters' cockpit. He befriended General Horne quickly through their mutual love of the stars.
When General Imayne went missing, Corot refused to give up on her. He studied every corner of the Qiilura System to find her. She couldn't just disappear like that... could she?

Bloom (CT-7402) Human clone, pilot/droid wrangler Another pilot for the 71st Air Combat Wing and resident droid wrangler. He works with the BD units that serve alongside his brothers. He trains the droids on ship repair and battle support, as well as performes maintenance on them. A quiet, shy trooper, he prefers the company of droids to people. He flies with Corot as his copilotVami Bez Chadra Fan, mechanic One of the many Chadra Fans employed by the 71st in their mechanical departments. She's a little spitfire, often running her mouth. She loves chatting with the pilots and hearing their stories of battle. When you need snacks smuggled onto the Roost, she's your girlBD-A5 "Abi" BD-Unit Explorer Droid Info.
